Be Fast Up And Running
Our experience is, when we have been working much with educating in studio, music and and audio production, that manuals sometimes can be to hard to understand and too extensive, especially in the beginning of working with a product. Our Quick guides are brief, basic and easy to understand instructions that we have written for starting up and explains just the most important things to know, but also enough for having basic knowledge about using the product. They'll give you a solid foundation and you can use your time for making music instead of spending weeks of manual reading. Then we advocate to also read the manuals carefully - but when you do that you'll have an understanding for what you're reading.

The Kickstarts and Quickguides are made as PDF documents, including bookmarks for easy finding what you need, for reading on screen or print out. They are availeble in English or in Swedsih. Kickstart With Cubase SL1/SX1 or SL2/SX2 is a short and practical introduction to Cubase SL and SX that step by step explains the basics of how to use the program. It contains easy text and explaining pictures, for instance outline, settings and latency, explaining of the common knobs and icons, recording, working with effects, working with drum loops, mixdown, simple mastering etc. These instructions are based on teaching among students, music teachers and other persons that we educated during a number of years in studio recording. It gives many useful tips, and in opposite to many other educational's it's concise - you read through and get new practical knowledge very fast. It also is useful for Nuendo users, because Nuendo contains all of Cubase SX and is very similar. Kickstart with Cubase SL1/SX1 is about 30 pages, and Kickstart with Cubase SL2/SX2 is about 30 pages.
The Quickguides to Akai S3000XL and to Emu ESI4000 takes up all the basic operation and are good as a reference to have in studio for having instance instructions about how to execute different common things with these machines.
